Job summary

Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School is seeking a caring and organised Pastoral Support Assistant to support student wellbeing and achievement. The role focuses on building positive relationships with students and families and providing effective pastoral support within a caring school community.

The successful candidate will have safeguarding knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with students facing emotional or attendance challenges.

POST TITLE: Pastoral Support Assistant

LOCATION: Blackford, Wedmore, Somerset

CONTRACT TERM: Permanent

GRADE: Grade 12 PT 12(£28,598 Based on April 2025)

ACTUAL SALARY: £20,636

HOURS: 32hrs per week /Term Time Only (Inc 30 mins unpaid lunch)

START DATE: As soon as possible
