Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a dedicated Community Palliative Care Team. You’ll deliver high-quality care in community and hospice settings, developing care plans and supporting patients and families with compassion.

Drivers are required due to travel across sites. Flexible day/night shifts, permanent roles, pro rata salary up to £51,000 for part-time, and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMC registration.
  • Experience in palliative or end-of-life care preferred.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life nursing care to patients in community and hospice settings.
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs, developing and reviewing individualised care plans.
  • Safely manage medications and symptom control, including the use of syringe drivers.
  • Respond to telephone enquiries, providing appropriate clinical advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate seamless, high-quality care.

Providing palliative care is about far more than delivering clinical treatment - It's about offering reassurance, compassion, and dignity at one of the most important times in a person's life.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a dedicated Community Palliative Care Team, supporting patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs. Working across community and hospice settings, you'll deliver expert clinical care while providing emotional support to patients and their families, helping them remain as comfortable and independent as possible.

Your Role
  • Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life nursing care to patients in community and hospice settings.

  • Support patients and their families with compassion, dignity, and clear communication throughout their care journey.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with NMC standards and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and continuous service improvement.
