Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking an experienced HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver for a 12-week temp-to-perm position. You will deliver building materials to customers in Kent, Watford, and nearby areas, operating HIAB equipment and maintaining high service standards.

Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, HIAB certification, Driver CPC, and Tachograph card, with 1 year of HIAB/Grab experience preferred. Monday–Friday shifts, with a 45-minute break and long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and HIAB certification are required.
• Valid Driver CPC and digital Tachograph card are mandatory.
• Previous HIAB/Grab experience is preferred; 1 year is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers across Kent, Watford and surrounding areas.
• Safely operate HIAB/Grab equipment and load/unload materials.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain a professional customer service standard.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time and in compliance with regulations.

Our client, a well-established builders' merchants, is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver to join their team on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver looking for a stable, long-term position with a reputable builders' merchant.

Further Information About The Role:

As an HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver, you will be responsible for making approximately 3-5 deliveries per day, delivering building materials to customers across the local area, including Kent and Watford.

You will be required to operate the vehicle safely and efficiently, use the HIAB equipment to load and unload materials, and provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering building materials across Kent, Watford and surrounding areas


• Safely operating the HIAB/Grab equipment


• Loading and unloading materials


• Carrying out daily vehicle checks


• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time


• Providing a professional service to customers


• Complying with all relevant driving, tachograph and health & safety regulations

Requirements For This Role:

• Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence


• Full HIAB certification


• Valid Driver CPC


• Valid Digital Tachograph Card


• Previous HIAB/Grab experience preferred


• 1 year's experience desirable, but not essential


• Good communication and customer service skills


• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work


• £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience


• 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
