Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver in Thatcham to join on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis. You will typically make 3-5 deliveries daily, loading and unloading building materials with HIAB equipment and delivering to customers in the local area, including Kent and Watford.

Requirements include a Full HGV Class 2 licence, HIAB certification, valid CPC and tachograph card. Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30, with a 45-minute break; start W/C 12th October 2026.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Full HIAB certification.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HIAB/Grab experience preferred.
• 1 year's experience desirable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Completing approximately 3-5 deliveries per day.

• Safely operating the HIAB/Grab equipment.

Location: Thatcham

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm

Start Date: W/C 12th October 2026

Working Hours: 07:00-16:30

Our client, a well-established builders' merchants, is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver to join their team on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis.

Further Information About The Role:

As an HGV 2 HIAB Grab Driver, you will be responsible for making approximately 3-5 deliveries per day, delivering building materials to customers across the local area, including Kent and Watford.

You will be required to operate the vehicle safely and efficiently, use the HIAB equipment to load and unload materials, and provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
