Job summary

Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Darlington. This role will be long term ongoing for the right candidates.

This role does require some manual handling of cages and tail lift work. Days and Nights shifts with specific hours and a pay rate provided below.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E licence held for at least 6 months.
• At least 3 months commercial driving experience.
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification.
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 offences; max 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs and stores.
• Unloading stores deliveries using tail lift and cages.
• Carry out vehicle checks.
• Adhere to shift patterns; weekend work preferred.

Responsibilities will include:

• - Delivering to RDCs and stores.
• - Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and cages.
• - Vehicle checks
• - Shift patterns to suit but a weekend shift is preferred.

Days

• - Days between 0400 – 0900
• - £19.03ph Monday to Sunday

Nights

• - Nights: 15:00 – 21:00 starts
• - £19.03ph Monday to Sunday
• - £11.45 per shift uplift between midnight and 04:00

The ideal candidate.

• - Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 6 months
• - You must have at least 3 months commercial experience for insurance purposes
• - No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
• - Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
