Job summary

PS LTD are recruiting for warehouse operatives in the Appleby Magna area of Swadlincote, with the opportunity of working for a reputable company. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Your duties will include materials handling, stocking, loading and unloading of goods, and accurate shipping and receiving processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and materials handling
• Proficient in forklift operation and knowledgeable in warehouse management systems
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform lifting
• Experience with stocking, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving
• Familiarity with AS400 and other relevant warehouse technologies

PS LTD are recruiting for warehouse operatives in the Appleby Magna area of Swadlincote, with the opportunity of working for a reputable company.

Summary

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include materials handling, stocking, and the loading and unloading of goods. With core skills in warehouse experience and materials handling, along with premium skills in forklift operation and warehouse management systems, you will ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes. Your relevant skills in lifting, picking and packing, and mechanical knowledge will further enhance our team's productivity and effectiveness in a busy environment.

This is ongoing and regular work with the opportunity of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The required shift is

06:00 - 14:30, Monday - Friday with some overtime available on the weekends which is optional.

The role requires loading and unloading of lorries. There will also be a need to scan in items as they come in. Successful candidates will need good levels of written and spoken English due to the need for picking off of order sheets and fulfilling customer orders.

Work can be physically demanding and you will be stood/lifting heavy items throughout your shift, so the ideal candidate will need to be physically fit and willing.

PLEASE NOTE - Own PPE must be provided, this includes Hi Vis and a pair of safety boots.
