Job summary

Bridgewater Recruitment Group in Trafford Park is seeking a Graduate Commercial Trainee to support supplier relations and product purchasing within a fast-growing renewables business.

You'll build supplier relationships UK and internationally, assist with procurement, monitor stock, analyse sales data in Excel, and contribute to commercial reporting while collaborating with sales and operations to ensure product availability.

Graduate Commercial Trainee - Supplier Relations

A specialist renewables division within a national group of electrical distribution businesses is looking for a bright and commercially minded graduate to join its team in Trafford Park.

The business supplies a broad range of renewable energy technologies to trade customers across the UK, including solar PV, battery storage, inverters and EV charging equipment. Working with suppliers and manufacturers across the UK, Europe and Asia, the commercial team plays an important role in sourcing products, managing stock and supporting the continued growth of the business.

The Role

As a Graduate Commercial Trainee, you'll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Manager with the day-to-day management of supplier relationships and product purchasing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers in the UK and internationally
• Supporting procurement and purchasing activities
• Monitoring inventory levels and helping to optimise stock availability
• Analysing sales and purchasing data using Excel to identify trends and opportunities
• Assisting with commercial reporting and supplier performance analysis
• Working closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure products are available when customers need them
