Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting for an experienced CNC Sliding Head and/or Fixed Head Setter Operator to join a precision engineering team in Stourbridge. The role offers £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30, with an immediate start possible.

You will set and operate CNC Sliding Head and Fixed Head machines, read engineering drawings, carry out quality checks with measuring equipment, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC Sliding Head and/or Fixed Head machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges).

CNC Sliding Head and/or Fixed Head Setter Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company based in the Stourbridge area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing manufacturer offering stable, long-term work with the potential for an immediate start.

Duties Include:

• Setting and operating CNC Sliding Head and/or Fixed Head machines
• Producing high-quality precision engineered components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Conducting quality checks using measuring equipment
• Making tool and offset adjustments when required
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC Sliding Head or Fixed Head machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently
