Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a committed Storekeeper in Stonehouse to manage the efficient handling, storage, and movement of inventory within a fast-paced warehouse. You will ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately while maintaining safety and organisation.

The role requires prior warehouse or logistics experience, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to maintain accurate stock records. A supportive team environment and Monday–Friday hours are offered, with training provided

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, stock control, or logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with inventory management systems and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Checking goods for damage and reporting discrepancies.
• Storing materials safely within warehouse locations.
• Picking, packing, issuing and dispatching stock as required.
• Completing inventory transactions and maintaining stock records.
• Carrying out cycle counts and assisting with stock takes.
• Supporting Kanban replenishment activities.
• Maintaining housekeeping across warehouse and goods-in/goods-out areas.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and issues.
• Ensuring work aligns with procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Operating forklifts and material handling equipment (training provided).
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and safety.

Job description

Storekeeper to join a busy and well-established operation in Stonehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, logistics, or inventory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.

The Role

As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, movement, and control of materials and inventory within the warehouse. You will play a key role in ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched accurately while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists
• Checking goods for damage and reporting any discrepancies
• Storing materials safely and accurately within designated warehouse locations
• Picking, packing, issuing, and dispatching stock as required
• Completing inventory transactions and maintaining accurate stock records
• Carrying out cycle counts and assisting with periodic stock takes
• Supporting kitting and Kanban replenishment activities
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across warehouse and goods-in/goods-out areas
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies and inventory issues
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety requirements
• Operating forklifts and material handling equipment (training/certification provided where required)
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and safety
