Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are seeking a Handyperson for an ongoing temporary, full-time opportunity on a Construction project in the UK. The role focuses on external carpentry and snagging duties, with supervision by the Project Manager and Site Manager.

You will need a valid CSCS card, own hand and power tools, and clear communication skills. Salary is £19-£20 per hour, dependent on experience, with the work based on site in the Brighton area.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in general building.
• Own a selection of hand and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the Project Manager and Site Manager.
• Receive job lists including carpentry, metalwork and snagging tasks.
• Main experience in external carpentry will be required.
• Check drawings and set out works to be completed.
• Hand back snag sheets daily to show works completed.

A well-established regional contractor who specialises in the Education and Care home sector.

The role:

As the Handyperson / Multi-Trader on the project you will be responsible for:

• Working under the supervision and management of the Project Manager, Site Manager.
• Receiving job lists including but not limited to mainly woodwork, metal work and minor snagging works.
• Main experience in external carpentry will be required.
• Checking drawings and setting out works to be completed.
• Handing back snag sheets each day to show works completed.

About you:

• You will need a current and valid CSCS card.
• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• You MUST have a current and valid CSCS card.
