Job summary

QS Recruitment seeks an experienced Class 1 HGV driver for an operation based in Stallingborough. You will work on regular Class 1 journeys across the UK, delivering to diverse sites and customers.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, safe transport of loads, completing paperwork and tachograph records, and strict adherence to driving hours and UK regulations. The role is temporary, days with some weekends, 40–50 hours weekly, £17.50/hr, with up to 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 HGV driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of UK road networks.
• Desirable experience with trunking, general haulage or UK-wide deliveries.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain safety standards.
• Professional and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK.
• Carry a variety of freight and loads.
• Deliver to a wide range of locations and customer sites.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are operated safely.
• Secure and transport loads in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately.
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and delivery sites.
• Comply with all UK driving legislation, Working Time Regulations and drivers’ hours.
