Nuffield Health is hiring an Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist in Sheffield for a full-time, mobile role across the region. You will join a multidisciplinary team and complete a three-week training course while promoting health and fitness as part of a holistic service.

The role requires a minimum 2:2 in Sport and Exercise Science or equivalent, with study in physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition. Travel within the base region is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of human physiology and applied health assessment.
• Willingness to travel within the region of the base site.

Responsibilities

• Join a multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete a three-week in-house training course.
• Promote health and fitness as part of a holistic health service.
• Deliver health assessments to support health and wellbeing goals.
• Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery.

• Complete the preceptorship programme during the first 12 months.

Starting Salary up to £28,620 per annum depending on skills and experience

40 hours per week

In this entry role to our Physiology department, you'll make a difference, not just a living. We're transforming healthcare in the UK by bringing together assessment, treatment and prevention services to provide integrated care.

As an Academy Physiologist, you'll bring a minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent. You've studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition. Crucially, you know how to apply this in practice.

Whilst you will have a base location all our Academy Physiology roles are mobile, so you will be required to travel within the region of your base site.

As an Academy Physiologist, you will:

Join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals

Complete our in-house three-week training course.

Help promote health and fitness as part of our holistic, comprehensive health service

Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals

Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery
