Job summary
Nuffield Health is hiring an Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist in Sheffield for a full-time, mobile role across the region. You will join a multidisciplinary team and complete a three-week training course while promoting health and fitness as part of a holistic service.
The role requires a minimum 2:2 in Sport and Exercise Science or equivalent, with study in physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition. Travel within the base region is expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of human physiology and applied health assessment.
- Willingness to travel within the region of the base site.
Responsibilities
- Join a multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Complete a three-week in-house training course.
- Promote health and fitness as part of a holistic health service.
- Deliver health assessments to support health and wellbeing goals.
- Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery.
- Be passionate and caring, putting client needs first.
- Complete the preceptorship programme during the first 12 months.
