Job summary

Bupa care home is seeking a Lifestyle & Wellness Co-ordinator to create a vibrant, joy-filled atmosphere for residents. You will plan activities from crafts to garden parties and organise meaningful social events within a budget.

You'll work with care teams, residents, and external performers, arranging days out and one-to-one sessions, while occasionally assisting with social media updates. The role includes alternate weekends and full-time hours.

Qualifications

  • Creative thinker with plenty of ideas, who can also manage budgets and maintain paperwork, effectively managing priorities as they arise.
  • Interest in caring for others and spreading enthusiasm.
  • Experience coordinating activities and events is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Run morning and afternoon activity sessions.
  • Produce and update an activity planner within a set activities budget.
  • Organise birthday surprises for residents.
  • Liaise with external companies and local performers to plan days out/events.
  • Schedule one-to-ones using reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, or chats.
  • Support the home social media channels as required.

They work closely with our residents and care teams to create tailored activity plans. Whether it's gentle chair-based exercise or a garden party, they've got it covered! Coordinators bring people together for laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences. Activities aren't just fun; they're also therapeutic. From meditation to wellbeing classes, they boost residents' spirits and well-being.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
  • Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
  • Organising birthday surprises for our residents
  • Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home
  • Organising one to ones with our residents, this might involve reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or just a cup of tea and a chat
  • Supporting the home with their social media channels as required
