Daniel Owen Ltd is recruiting a Civil Site Agent for a prestigious civil engineering project based in the Scottish Borders. The role offers long-term stability with a programme running through to June 2029 and potential for permanent appointment.

You will lead day-to-day site operations, manage earthworks, drainage and utilities packages, ensure safety and reporting, and liaise with the Contracts Manager, clients and site teams. Local candidates encouraged; accommodation provided during the week.

Formación

• Valid SMSTS certificate required.
• Experience as Site Agent/Manager on civil projects with references.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage, utilities or structures is preferred.
• Right to work in the UK and First Aid at Work.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day site operations and supervise operatives.
• Work with an experienced site team and assist Contracts Manager.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed on site.
• Monitor progress against programme and maintain risk assessments.
• Coordinate materials, plant and cost tracking.
• Liaise daily with clients, subcontractors and site teams.

My client is currently looking to recruit a Civil Site Agent for an exciting civil engineering project based in the Scottish Borders.

Working for an established civil engineering contractor that continues to grow and expand year on year. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved in a significant pipeline of follow-on projects.

• Project starting in November
• Long-term project running until June 2029
• Permanent position available; freelance candidates will also be considered
• Applications are welcome from local candidates and from those who are happy to stay in accommodation during the week.
• Keen to speak to agents specialising in earthworks, drainage and utilities, or with a strong structural background.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day site operations and supervise operatives
• Work closely with and receive support from an experienced site team
• Ensure all health and safety standards and procedures are followed
• Monitor progress against the programme and keep all relevant documentation up to date, including risk assessments and method statements
• Coordinate the ordering of materials and plant
• Monitor and track project costs
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and site teams on a daily basis
• Provide regular progress updates to the Contracts Manager

Requirements

• Valid SMSTS
• Previous experience as a Site Agent, Site Manager or Project Manager on civil engineering projects, with references available
• Strong experience managing major packages involving earthworks, drainage, utilities, structures or wider infrastructure works
• Proof of the right to work in the UK
• Valid First Aid at Work
• An engineering background is highly desirable
