Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is seeking a Prison Escort at HMP Ranby to safely escort contractors on and off-site while upholding strict safety and security standards. The role requires DBS clearance and clear communication to ensure smooth operations within a justice environment.

The position is full-time with a shift pattern between 7am and 7pm, with opportunities to overtime and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. You will contribute to a secure, well-managed site and support essential works.

Responsibilities

• Escort contractors: Ensure contractors are safely guided to and from work areas, maintaining compliance at all times.
• Contractor check-in: Verify ID, assist with check-in, and ensure all documentation is in order.
• Vehicle access: Manage contractor vehicle entry where required.
• Equipment review: Check contractors' tool lists to ensure compliance.
• Internal movement: Obtain authorisation for contractor movement within the facility.
• Monitor compliance: Track sign-in/out, check PPE use, and report any concerns.
• Health & safety: Maintain communication via radio, follow safety protocols, and assist in emergencies.

Shift pattern: Full time, Monday to Friday flexibility required between 7am and 7pm

Hourly rate: £13.45 Per Hour, increasing to upwards of £23.54 with overtime.

As a prison escort, you'll be responsible for escorting contractors and personnel on and off-site, enabling them to complete planned and minor works while upholding the highest safety and security standards.
