Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is recruiting for a prison escort role at HMP Lincoln. You will escort contractors and personnel to and from work areas, verify IDs, manage vehicle access, and review tool lists to ensure compliance.

The role requires a calm, methodical approach, and strong teamwork. A DBS check and photo ID are required, with full-time shifts and opportunities for overtime. You will work 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Escort contractors and personnel on and off-site, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Conduct contractor check-in, verify ID and documentation.
• Manage vehicle access when required and review contractors' tool lists for compliance.
• Obtain authorisation for internal movement within the facility.
• Monitor sign-in/out, PPE usage and report any concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain safety protocols and assist in emergencies via radio communications.

Shift pattern: Full time, 37 Hours, Monday to Friday shifts between 7am and 7pm

Hourly rate: £12.99 Per Hour, increasing to upwards of £22.73 with overtime.

As a prison escort, you'll be responsible for

escorting contractors and personnel on and off-site, enabling them to complete planned and minor works while upholding the highest safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Escort contractors: Ensure contractors are safely guided to and from work areas, maintaining compliance at all times.
• Contractor check-in: Verify ID, assist with check-in, and ensure all documentation is in order.
• Vehicle access: Manage contractor vehicle entry where required.
• Equipment review: Check contractors' tool lists to ensure compliance.
• Internal movement: Obtain authorisation for contractor movement within the facility.
• Monitor compliance: Track sign-in/out, check PPE use, and report any concerns.
• Health & safety: Maintain communication via radio, follow safety protocols, and assist in emergencies.

What you need
