Job summary

Heron Foods in Redcar is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to lead a fast-paced team across a busy store. This part-time role (18 hours per week) offers hands-on leadership, daily customer service excellence, and a chance to help ensure the store runs smoothly.

You will motivate staff, maintain high standards, manage stock and cash handling, and cover keyholder duties when the Store Manager is away.

What You'll Do:

As a Duty Manager, you'll take on a key leadership role to ensure the store operates seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

• - Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• - Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• - Maintaining a clean, well-presented, and fully stocked store.
• - Driving sales and profitability by managing performance and efficiency.
• - Being a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager (including store openings and closes).
