Job summary

Randstad Education in Frome is seeking a compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, ASC, and attachment needs on a day-to-day, flexible basis. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, implement trauma-informed strategies, assist teachers with tailored activities, and help students build resilience, with a consistent schedule 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including Thrive and Therapy experts to support pupil wellbeing

Qualifications

• Strong passion for working with children or young people with SEMH, ASC, or neurodivergent needs.
• Experience in schools, care, or community settings is highly desirable.
• A trauma-informed mindset characterised by a non-judgemental, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Excellent resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to engage in specialist training.
