Job summary

Bruce’s is looking for a Full Time Carer Driver at our Battlers Green Centre. You will transport dogs to and from daycare, support enrichment activities, and provide a positive environment for our canine guests.

You’ll work outdoors in all weather, maintain vehicles and facilities, and upload photos to our CRM while updating customers about their pets. A valid UK licence and DBS check are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving experience and a Full UK licence.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and handle dogs safely.
• Confident with customers and dog behaviour conversations.

Responsibilities

• Transport dogs to and from Daycare in Bruce’s Doggy Buses and ensure passenger safety.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver weekly enrichment routines.
• Know each dog’s notes and share updates with customers.
• Maintain dog buses and facilities in clean, safe condition.
• Follow customers’ pickup/drop-off instructions and secure premises.
• Upload photos to the CRM and tag dogs for customers to view activities.
• Provide a positive environment that supports happy dogs and positive interactions.
• Monitor dog behaviour and assist with managing behaviour plans when needed.
• Assist with bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to drop-off.
• Care for equipment, fields and site, keeping areas clean and well-maintained.

What You'll Be Doing

• You will be transporting dogs to and from Daycare in our Bruce’s Doggy Buses and ensuring the safety of every precious passenger onboard. (No need to break any speed records here!)
• Bringing your curiosity and creativity to life by collaborating with colleagues to deliver our weekly enrichment routines in line with our enrichment calendar
• Know our four-legged friends like the back of your paw, checking their notes and sharing updates with customers
• Keeping our doggy buses in top-notch condition, ready to hit the road and deliver exceptional experiences.
• Following customers instructions for pick up and drop off, e.g. lunches, where to leave the dog if the owner is not in, securing property.
• Uploading photos taken of our four legged friends to our CRM system and tagging individual dogs for our customers to see what they get up to at Bruce’s
• Providing a positive environment which leads to happy dogs and creates an atmosphere where we can unleash happiness.
• Keeping a watchful eye on behaviour, turning potential conflict into opportunities for positive interactions also providing suggestions and managing behaviour management plans.
• Being a helping hand when it comes to bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to drop off
• Caring for the equipment, fields and site and keeping them maintained, safe and clean (this also includes cleaning up after the dogs)

About you

You will be 21 years old or over due to insurance purposes and a reliable and trustworthy individual with a Full UK licence.

At least 2 years driving experience and live in within a 30 minute commute of Shepherds Bush, Notting Hill or Ladbrook Grove.

Ideally have a current DBS (or happy to have a DBS check).

As you will be the face of Bruce’s for 50% of our customers, you will be as confident with customers as you are with canines, handling queries and talking dog behaviour with ease.

You are someone who embraces a challenge and works under time pressure with a can-do mindset and enthusiasm.

Giving 100 pawcent in everything you do all while radiating positivity, you are someone who is happy to work outdoors in all weathers (this is a must- come rain, shine, snow and all!)
