This is a full-time, permanent role with Monday to Friday hours and alternate Sundays, paid at £17.47 per hour with overtime at an enhanced rate.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm, plus alternate Sundays from 7:00am to 12:00pm

HGV Mechanic is required to join a busy workshop team in Quarrington.
You will inspect, maintain and repair a fleet of HGV vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and available for operation. This is a practical, hands-on position requiring previous experience within an HGV workshop.
Carry out six-weekly vehicle inspections
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and complete any required repairs
Undertake planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
Complete maintenance records and associated paperwork accurately
Report faults, defects and other concerns to the Workshop Foreman or Supervisor
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
Work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider workshop team
Support high standards of vehicle safety, compliance and reliability
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Previous experience working within an HGV workshop
Strong practical knowledge of HGV inspection, maintenance and repair
A full UK driving licence
Your own tools
Good attention to detail, particularly when completing maintenance records
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A practical and safety-focused approach to your work
Category B or CE driving licence
£17.47 per hour
