Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Plymouth is seeking a Site Engineer for a major MoD civils project. You will set out, manage QA, and ensure site standards on site in a high-stakes environment.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least 3 years of Site Engineer experience, preferably in civils. It is a permanent position with potential for ongoing work in the area for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline, plus relevant CSCS card.
• Minimum 3 years' experience at Site Engineer level or above, ideally with civils project experience.

Responsibilities

• Setting out structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Site Engineer - Major Civils Project - Plymouth

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are presently delivering a major improvement works to a major Ministry of Defence Project in Plymouth, Devon.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance.

My client has at least 3+ years of work on this project and with the possibility of continuous work in the area for the right individual.

These are permanent positions.
