Job description

URGENTLY REQUIRED – Experienced Arboricultural Climber / Tree Surgeon (PERMANENT&SUB-CONTRACTOR))

At Arbor Call Ltd, we are urgently looking for experienced Arboricultural Climbers / Tree Surgeons to join our growing team.

Types of Opportunities Available

We are recruiting for permanent employees and self-employed subcontractors, with opportunities for short-term and long-term work, full-time and part-time arrangements, fixed weekly days and ad-hoc availability. Rates will be negotiated according to experience, qualifications and skillset, where applicable.

Permanent Staff Opportunities

We are looking to expand our permanent workforce to meet the growing demands of our business. We welcome applications from experienced climbers looking to join our team on a permanent basis.

Longer-Term Subcontracting

We are looking for climbers interested in ongoing subcontractor work, including fixed days each week, as well as those available for ad-hoc assignments.

Short-Term Work

Higher day rates are negotiable for experienced climbers available for immediate or short-term work.

Flexible Working Arrangements

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, subject to operational requirements. We are happy to discuss availability and working arrangements to suit both parties.

Recent College Leavers

We are also keen to hear from recent college leavers who have completed their arboricultural training and hold their CS30 and CS31 qualifications. A climbing and aerial rescue qualification (CS38) would be strongly preferred.

Newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, with practical ability, attitude and potential for development also taken into consideration.

Full PPE and climbing equipment can be provided where required, and we support training, development and career progression.

Rates & Payment

All trial days are fully paid.

Competitive subcontractor rates of £160–£250 per day, depending on experience, qualifications and skillset.

Higher day rates negotiable for experienced climbers undertaking short-term work.

Rates for recent college leavers will be discussed according to practical ability and experience.

Permanent employment remuneration will be discussed according to experience and suitability.

Permanent staff are paid monthly; subcontractors are paid fortnightly.

Full PPE provided where required.

Climbing equipment provided where required.
