Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead onsite at an IKEA distribution centre in Peterborough. The role combines hands-on work with supervision of a team of electricians on site to deliver critical electrical installations.

You will work 49 hours per week with site hours Mon-Thu 7:00am-18:00pm and Fri 7:00am-14:00pm. The contract is 12+ months, rate £30.00 per hour CIS, with on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• Previous supervising experience is required.
• JIB Card and SSSTS certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of electricians on site.
• Oversee installation of LV power, distribution boards, containment, busbar, and lighting.
• Ensure works comply with safety and quality standards.

Job description

Meridian are currently looking for an Electrical Supervisor to start work on a IKEA distribution Centre in Peterborough. This is working for a large scale regional contractor who previously have done a lot of warehouse refurbishments throughout the UK. The project is due to go live on the 5th October 2026 and will be aiming to be complete by December 2027. The Electrical supervisor will be required to work on the tools and supervise a team of Electricians with the installation of the following below:

• Low Voltage Power.
• Distribution Boards.
• Containment including Ladder Rack, Tray and Basket.
• Busbar.
• Lighting.

Applicants must have previous supervising experience accompanied with a valid JIB Card and SSSTS.

49 hours per week

Site Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 18:00pm

Friday: 7:00am - 14:00pm

£30.00 Per Hour CIS (Alternative PAYE rates available)

12 Months + Duration
