Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service in Penrhyncoch is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to provide socialisation support for a daughter with multi-sensory and mobility impairments. You will help her access activities after school and at weekends, with pick-up and drop-off from the family home.

Rate of Pay: £16.00 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant to provide socialisation support for our daughter. The role involves supporting her to access activities in the local community after school and at weekends.

We can be flexible regarding working hours, although Monday and Wednesday are preferred. Typical shifts would be 2 to 3 hours in duration; however, flexibility can be offered for the right candidate.

Pick-up and drop-off will be from our family home in the Penrhyncoch area.

Activities May Include

• Visits to the park
• Other community and leisure activities based on her interests

About Our Daughter

Our daughter has multi-sensory and mobility impairments and requires support to access activities safely and comfortably. It is important that applicants have:

• Patience, understanding, and a positive approach
• Confidence supporting a young person with additional needs

Communication methods used include:

• English and Welsh

These approaches support her ability to communicate using sentences.
