Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) in Dalry is seeking a compassionate Support Practitioner to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours per week). You will help people live fulfilling lives, through meals, personal care, appointments and social activities.

A full UK manual driving license with at least one year of driving experience is required. The role offers meaningful work, driver duties, and opportunities for professional development; SVQ commitment noted.

Our fantastic #TeamBessieDunlop is looking for a positive and understanding person to join their friendly team as a Support Practitioner on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours per week).

What will you be doing?

• Planning and preparing meals
• Helping with household tasks
• Supporting people to attend appointments
• Prompting with personal care and medication
• Supporting hobbies, interests and social activities
• Encouraging people to stay connected with friends, family and their local community

You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to get involved in the fun stuff! From trips to the cinema and theatre to meeting up with friends and enjoying tribute nights and local events, you’ll support people to make the most of their lives and do the things they enjoy.

Due to the needs of the service, for this role you will need a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years experience on the roads.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
