Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an OOH Nurse to deliver person-centred, evidence-based care after specific training. You will work with primary and community services, social care partners and a diverse team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
The role includes a broad range of clinical skills and active involvement in patient empowerment and team development.
In this role, you will focus on collaborative, safe, effective and evidence-based practice. Working closely with primary and community services as well as with social care partners, you play a critical role in ensuring a person-centred experience. As an OOH Nurse, you will be required to: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual, patient-centred interventions drawing on a wide range of specialist knowledge gained from practical experience and specific training. Be competent in a broad range of clinical skills including catheterisation, pain management, wound care, end of life care and IV medication after specific training and more. Actively use and promote shared decision-making, empowering people to improve self-management of their long-term condition while working collaboratively with our teams and outside partners. Support colleagues including; peers, students and unregistered workforce in nursing competencies, helping us shape our existing service and contribute to the future design and delivery. Working Pattern: Our team works between the hours of 16:00 - 08:00. We provide an evening service 16:00 - 00:00 and night service 22:30 - 08:00. This role does include weekends and bank holidays.
