HORIBA MIRA Ltd in Nuneaton is seeking a Senior Technician to join the HSPI team on a 12-month Inside IR35 contract. This hands-on role supports the preparation and delivery of vehicle, safety and security testing programmes, while guiding technicians.

You'll coordinate activities, provide on-the-job training, and help maintain safety and environmental compliance in an outdoor test environment. Working 39 hours per week; rate up to £21 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

• Help maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the facility.
• Support stock control, equipment readiness and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods, facilities and ways of working.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Highway Safety & Protection of Infrastructure (HSPI) team in Nuneaton on a 12-month contract (Inside IR35). This is a hands‑on role supporting the preparation and delivery of vehicle, safety and security testing programmes, while providing day‑to‑day guidance and support to technicians across the facility. You'll play a key role in ensuring testing activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This could be an excellent opportunity for someone with a workshop, testing or engineering background who enjoys practical problem‑solving, coordinating activities and working within a dynamic test environment. You'll have the opportunity to support a wide range of vehicle, safety and infrastructure testing programmes while helping to drive continuous improvement across the facility.

Please note; this role involves working outdoors in all weathers.

Security clearance will be required for this role due to the nature of work.
