Job summary

Kuehne + Nagel invites applications for a 24-month Apprenticeship in road logistics at the East Midlands Gateway site. Responsibilities

• Process bookings from clients and overseas agents on our system.
• Provide operational support for Sales Managers when required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to move shipments and ensure client satisfaction.
• Handle issues during shipments and keep the client and Sales Manager updated.
• Process sales and purchase invoices for the branch.
• Attend meetings and training sessions with colleagues.
• Make sales calls and onboard new customers.
• Attend customer offsite meetings and analyse performance data.

How you create impact

Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

You’ll be learning how to…

• Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to our system.
• Provide operational support for the Sales Managers when required.
• Liaise with all relevant parties throughout shipments to organise the movement of goods by providing exceptional customer service ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
• Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and/or Sales Manager is updated
• Process sales and purchase invoices for the branch
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions
• Make sales calls, engage and onboard new customers
• Attend customer offsite meetings
• Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare/deliver customer review meetings

What we would like you to bring

The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D including Maths & English)

Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
