An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Nursing Associate to join our School Nursing Team within Milton Keynes. This relatively new post will support the current School Nursing Team to deliver the 5-19 element of the Healthy Child Programme. You will have an interest in preventative health with a passion for delivering safe, high-quality care to children and young people within the school, home and clinic setting.
Safeguarding children is at the forefront of all the work carried out by the team, and as a Nursing Associate you will support families as part of the Early Intervention Strategy.
The role of the Nursing Associate is to assist and support the School Nurses (SN’s) and Registered Nurses (RN’s) in ensuring optimal care is delivered across Milton Keynes. The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality, family-centred compassionate care under the direction of a School Nurse or Registered Nurse, with a focus on promoting public health and safeguarding. You will be an accountable professional and have the ability to work without constant direct supervision; within the parameters of practice by undertaking a range of duties appropriate to the level of responsibility and knowledge and skills acquired.
We are currently recruiting to the School Nursing Service which has recently implemented a new model of delivery. The new model incorporates the development of new ways of working to meet the needs of our diverse and growing population.
