Job summary

WJF Technical Support Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Materials Planner for a 1-year maternity cover contract. The role is primarily office-based with hybrid working, including about two days remote per week.

You will coordinate material and purchasing needs, work with Engineering and Buyers to convert PORs to POs, and serve as the link between Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to keep cross-functional communication smooth.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials planning or supply chain coordination.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery.

• Proactively following up on material and purchasing requirements to ensure demands are released on time.
• Working closely with Engineering and Buyers to ensure PORs are converted into POs.
• Acting as the link between Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across functions.
• Operating in a fast-paced environment where strong stakeholder management and continuous follow-up are essential.
