Job summary

North Kesteven District Council is seeking a highly motivated General Operative to join the Waste & Street Scene team at Metheringham Depot.

This permanent full-time role (37 hours) involves outdoor, manual duties, occasional 12t vehicle driving, and cross-divisional support while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

C2 entitlement to drive a 12t vehicle occasionally; regular vehicle is 7.5t.
Experience of a range of manual work including lifting, transportation, the use of equipment and powered tools.
Experience of working outdoor in all weather conditions including some unpleasant / dirty aspects to work.

Responsibilities

To proactively deliver the Councils General Labour Service.
To deliver efficient and effective manual support to all divisions of the Council.
To maintain successful relationships with internal and external customers.

Job Requirements:

Seasonal working

Summer: Mon - Thurs 06:30 - 14:30; Fri 06:30 - 14:00

Winter: Mon - Thurs 07:00 - 15:00; Fri 07:00 - 14:30
