Job summary

The Education Alliance is seeking an experienced Estates/Facilities professional to join TEAL’s Shared Services Team in a newly created role based at the Teacher Development Centre in Melton, with travel to TEAL schools as required.

The post holder will translate the TEAL estates strategy into operational deliverables across school premises, ensuring consistent policies, procedures, systems and KPIs, while supporting development and training of school teams.

  • Experience in estates/facilities management in education settings.
  • Strong communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to TEAL schools as required.

Job description

Salary: TEAL's Associate Pay Scale, point 25 (£36,363 FTE, pending the outcome of the annual pay award).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estates/Facilities professional to join TEAL’s Shared Services Team in a newly created role.

The Trust Estates Manager will be responsible for will be responsible for supporting Primary School premises team members in translating the TEAL estates strategy and sustainability plan into operational deliverables in each school. The post holder will ensure each school-based premises team members deliver a consistent approach in terms of policies, procedures, systems, processes, KPIs, training and development.

The role will be based at our Teacher Development Centre in Melton; however, you will be required to travel to other TEAL schools to provide support as required.

The role is permanent, up to full-time, and will be paid on TEAL's Associate Pay Scale, point 25 (£36,363 FTE, pending the outcome of the annual pay award).

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced individual with a high level of transferrable knowledge and skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confidence using IT systems and managing accurate records
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable as is prior experience of the education sector, but these are not essential requirements, as training will be provided.
