Job summary

Voyage Care in Melbourn is seeking a hands-on Support Worker to help individuals gain independence, assist with daily living, personal care and community involvement.

You will work as part of a dynamic team in Bramley Ave residential services, supporting people with autism, brain injury and complex needs to achieve their personal goals and improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, and complex needs.
• Ability to be resilient, flexible and composed.
• Duties include supporting independence, personal care, community access, and activities.
• DBS checks and references may be required.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life.
• Assist with personal care and life skills.
• Support participants to access local communities and social activities.
• Plan and participate in community outings and arts and crafts.

Support Worker – Bramley Ave - £13.13 up to £14.63 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are Mon -Sun 7am-2pm and 2pm-9pm

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service Bramley Ave in Melbourn is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the community, the next you could be unwinding with them doing arts and crafts.
