Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Ancillary Service Premise Cleaner for Maltby Ambulance Station. The role involves cleaning, decontamination and maintaining cleanliness across multiple areas in a dynamic 24/7 emergency service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Station/Site Cleaning: undertake cleaning, decontamination and related tasks to meet high cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
  • Work in line with Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures and daily schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness across entrances, washrooms, kitchens, canteens, gym, showers, offices and other areas.
  • Ensure stock levels of cleaning materials and record daily activities; handle urgent spills and ad-hoc cleaning as required.
  • Use basic IT for emails and timesheets.

Ancillary Service Premise Cleaner - Maltby | Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Facilities management Team, are offering an opportunity for a 12.5 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Maltby Ambulance Station.

Monday -Friday Day shift (Specific working pattern to be agreed)

Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service.

Allocated Bank Holiday working maybe required.

A very basic Physical Capability Assessment (PCA) is mandatory to this role, prior to any unconditional offer of employment.

Duties will include Station/Site Cleaning:

To undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet the high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention andControl measures required across our stations and sites.

To ensure that all activities are performed in line with the Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules.

Achieving and maintaining all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Our cleaning schedules include entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurant’s, gym's, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other associated areas.

To ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials are maintained and to record all daily activities. This will include urgent spillage and ad-hock cleaning and deep cleaning as requested or where identified.

Use of basic IT; access and inputting of information is essential. For example: Emails and time sheets.

A flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work, and any potential alternative location support cover within your shift is required.

Due to the required site support needs and the nature of the Emergency Services health care provision, short notice changes can occur within task and duties.
