Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust invites applications for a Premise Cleaner at Wetherby Ambulance Station. The role is 7.5 hours per week, scheduled Mon/Wed/Fri from 07:00–14:00 with pattern to be agreed.

Responsibilities include cleaning, decontamination and infection prevention measures across stations and sites, with duties spanning entrances, washrooms, kitchens, and offices. Flexibility and the ability to work alone or with a team are required.

Qualifications

• Previous workplace premise cleaning experience within last two years.
• Good literacy and numerical skills to complete worksheets and reports.
• Willingness to undertake role-specific training including NVQ 2 Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent.
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety, COSHH and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate stations and sites to high cleanliness standards.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for entrances, washrooms, kitchens, offices and other areas.
• Record daily activities and manage stock of cleaning materials.
• Adapt to ad-hoc changes and potential alternate location support within shifts.
• Operate basic IT devices and input information as required.

Job description

Yorkshire Ambulance Service :Facilities Management Team, are offering an opportunity for a 7.5 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Wetherby Ambulance Station. Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 2.5 hours per day between 0700 - 1400 (Specific working pattern to be agreed) Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service., Duties will include Station/Site Cleaning: To undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet the high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention andControl measures required across our stations and sites. To ensure that all activities are performed in line with the Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules. Achieving and maintaining all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Our cleaning schedules include entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurant's, gym's, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other associated areas. To ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials are maintained and to record all daily activities. This will include urgent spillage and ad-hock cleaning and deep cleaning as requested or where identified. Use of basic IT; access and inputting of information is essential. A flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work, and any potential alternative location support cover within your shift is required. Due to the required site support needs and the nature of the Emergency Services health care provision, short notice changes can occur within task and duties. Can you work alone to effectively plan essential given tasks to ensure overall completion, within limited time restraints and communicate effectively with senior staff? • Previous workplace premise cleaning experience within last two years., Ability to work individually or as a team.
• Willingness to undertake role specific training including NVQ 2 Cleaning & Support Services or agreed equivalent.
• Flexibility to work out of hours to meet service and development/training requirements, Current 'B' Class driving Licence which is valid in the UK., Good literacy and numerical skills in order to complete daily worksheets and reports.
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessments preferably associated to standard procedures and practices within the cleaning services sector, Basic IT Skills including use of keyboard, hand held data devices and telephones.
