Job summary

Clarence House Day Nurseries Ltd in Luton is seeking a Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our team. You will be working 40 hours a week at £14 per hour, delivering high standards of education and care to children aged 12 weeks to 5 years.

You will lead, mentor and support the room staff while liaising with parents and other childcare professionals under the guidance of the Nursery Manager. DBS checks will be provided and ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or equivalent Early Years Childcare / Nursery Nurse qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a nursery after qualification.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Awareness of planning, observing and record-keeping procedures.
• Understanding safeguarding policies and procedures.

Clarence House Day Nurseries is a group of 15 nurseries in East Anglia and East Midlands. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our team in Luton.

You will be working 40 hours a week with a salary of £14 per hour.

Room Leader Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure the highest standard of education and care is provided to children in your charge;
• To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the room;
• To supervise, mentor and support the members of your staff team;
• To liaise with parents, carers and other childcare professionals, providing information as appropriate under the guidance of the Nursery Manager;

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a person who is self‑motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a genuine desire to care for children in a safe and stimulating environment.

In addition, you will be required to have:

• A level 3 or equivalent Early Years Childcare / Nursery Nurse qualification;
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a nursery after qualification;
• An understanding of the latest EYFS framework;
• An awareness of planning, observing and record‑keeping procedures;
• An understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures.

Our Nursery

Clarence House Luton nursery is located on a quiet street with a lovely, spacious garden and rooms to accommodate babies, toddlers and a large preschool room.

In the nursery, we look after children aged from 12 weeks to 5 years old.
