Job summary

Clarence House Day Nurseries in Luton is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our team. You will work 40 hours per week at £14 per hour, delivering high-quality education and care for children across our rooms, under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.

The ideal candidate has a Level 3 EY qualification, at least 2 years' nursery experience, and a strong understanding of EYFS planning, observation and safeguarding policies. DBS enhanced check will be paid by the employer.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or equivalent Early Years qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' nursery experience after qualification.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Planning, observing and record-keeping procedures.
• Understanding safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure highest standard of education and care for children in your charge.
• Ensure smooth and efficient running of the room.
• Supervise, mentor and support staff.
• Liaise with parents, carers and professionals under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.

Clarence House Day Nurseries is a group of 15 nurseries in East Anglia and East Midlands. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our team in Luton. You will be working 40 hours a week with a salary of £14 per hour.

Room Leader Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure the highest standard of education and care is provided to children in your charge;
• To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the room;
• To supervise, mentor and support the members of your staff team;
• To liaise with parents, carers and other childcare professionals, providing information as appropriate under the guidance of the Nursery Manager

We're looking for a person who is self-motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a genuine desire to care for children in a safe and stimulating environment.

In addition, you will be required to have:

• A level 3 or equivalent Early Years Childcare / Nursery Nurse qualification;
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a nursery after qualification;
• An understanding of the latest EYFS framework;
• An awareness of planning, observing and record-keeping procedures;
• An understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures.
