Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker for a leading care home in Liverpool. You will support residents with daily needs and contribute to care planning in a setting delivering high-quality residential and dementia care.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, is a permanent full-time position at 36 hours per week, with day and night shifts. Competitive pay and a comprehensive induction are provided.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers
• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation
• Make and report realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medications to residents in accordance with policies and procedures

**To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care**

As a Senior Support Worker your key duties include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £13.80 - £14.20 per hour - Pay frequency is monthly.
