Job summary

Aramark UK in Normandy Barracks, Leconfield, is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll manage production, prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and help reduce wastage while mentoring new team members to uphold our standards.

The role requires you to pass security vetting and DBS checks; you’ll work 39 hours per week on a 5-out-of-7 shift pattern, with an early and late shift. You will enjoy discounted meals on shift, on-site parking, and access to our Employee Benefits app.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with minimal wastage.
• Work with chefs as trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards.
• Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve meals.
• Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and maintain kitchen records.
• Monitor temperatures of fridges/freezers/hot cabinets and complete daily due diligence paperwork.
• Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team working at Normandy Barracks.

You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements:you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
