Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is recruiting an Early Years Practitioner to join the Kemnay CSN, based initially at Kintore Nursery, with potential relocation within Kemnay CSN. You will support the Early Learning and Childcare team in delivering the Early Level curriculum and contribute to children's care and education.

This post is regulated work requiring PVG registration or update, plus pre-employment checks including a PVG/Overseas criminal record check and SSSC registration within 3 months.

Early Years Practitioner (Kemnay CSN) - ABS48762

A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality and service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service of the organisation.

This position is subject to Local Government terms and Conditions.

This is a Children's Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Kintore Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Kemnay

CSN.

Successful candidate will be employed on a 52.18 week per year contract.

This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
