Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers for a role at East Midlands Gateway. The successful candidate will safely move goods within a busy warehouse, holding a valid counterbalance or reach forklift licence. Experience with both is advantageous.

Shifts available: 0600-1430, 1400-2230 and 2200-0630, Monday to Friday only with no weekend work. Temp to Perm options may be available for reliable, safety-conscious candidates.

Qualifications

• Licence: counterbalance and reach required or highly preferred.
• Experience in busy warehouse or logistics environment is essential.
• Ability to meet targets and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and follow safety rules.
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Move stock to designated storage areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Drivers, for an immediate start, on behalf of our Client based at East Midlands Gateway. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within a busy warehouse environment. A valid counterbalance or reach forklift licence is essential, and experience with both would be advantageous.

A range of shifts are available including:

• 0600-1430 Days
• 1400-2230 Afternoons
• 2200-0630 Nights

Monday to Friday only - No weekend working

Key Responsibilities

• Operating counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
• Moving stock to designated storage areas
• Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
• Carrying out daily forklift checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid counterbalance or reach forklift licence - Minimum 2 years experience preferred
• Previous experience in a busy warehouse or logistics environment
• Ability to meet set targets
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
• Positive work ethic and highly motivated
