TCV Hull & Humber is a vital part of TCV's conservation volunteer movement to create, protect and restore local green spaces, improving biodiversity for the benefit of nature and people. TCV is a major tree establishment and community engagement delivery partner for the Humber Community Forest, and the post holder will work alongside other staff and volunteers on the delivery of a range of practical conservation projects. The job involves a great variety of conservation and seasonal tasks such as tree planting in winter, care in summer months, path creation, small construction work, pond and woodland management in urban communities and rural landscapes.
To enable us to develop our impact further we are seeking a highly motivated, organised, adaptable and committed Project Officer to join the team. The post holder will help plan and prepare contracted work as well as supervise volunteer groups of mixed experience to deliver practical environmental projects in urban and rural locations every week. The role is primarily weekdays, but with occasional weekend dates to widen volunteering access with time off in lieu.
You will be required to drive a TCV vehicle with up to 8 passenger seats. For insurance this means you must meet the TCV driving requirements, for which a standard full UK Driving licence held for at least a year is required. Experience of driving with a trailer would also be an advantage.
