Job summary

The Conservation Volunteers is seeking a motivated Project Officer based in Hull to help plan and supervise practical conservation work, coordinating weekly paid tasks and volunteering groups across urban and rural sites. The role is mainly weekdays with occasional weekend dates and a mix of office and field work.

You will develop plans and quotes for clients, manage resources and logistics, and liaise with partners and land managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in the environment sector or similar.
• Ability to plan practical conservation projects and logistics.
• Experience supervising volunteer groups, including diverse abilities.
• Strong communication with landowners, partners and volunteers; proficient with digital tools.
• Willingness to learn and undertake required training; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate practical conservation task programmes weekly.
• Manage and supervise teams of volunteers.
• Liaise with partners and land managers; plan work with clients.
• Develop plans and quotes for contracted work; handle resources and equipment.
