Job summary

CareTech is recruiting for a Wake Night Support Worker in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and other needs. The role involves delivering person-centred care, assisting with daily living skills and maintaining records, on a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Full training is provided. Enhanced DBS is required and drivers are preferred.

• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

About the Service – Ashwood Place

Ashwood Place is an 8 bedded residential service for adults with Learning Disability, Physical disability, Epilepsy and Adults on the Spectrum. Person centred care is very important to us at Ashwood Place. As a team, we focus on the abilities of the people we support and promote learning of new skills, thereby promoting independence and an improved quality of life. We have an open culture where staff feel safe to challenge bad practise, learn from mistakes, share knowledge and lessons learnt. The people we support are involved in the day-to-day running of their home.

The Role

You will:

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
