Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in Aberdeen seeks a Class 1 Driver to perform multi-drop milk cage deliveries using a refrigerated trailer across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

You will load and secure goods, carry out daily vehicle checks, stay in touch with the transport team, and take part in ongoing training. The role offers a 4-on 4-off rota, early start, overtime opportunities, and full DCPC training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential.
• Customer-focused with a drive to meet deadlines.
• Able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Use a refrigerated trailer to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores in the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire areas.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
