Job summary

Voyage Care in Headley Down is looking for caring, hands-on Male Support Workers. You will help residents gain independence, assist with daily living and support community access in a dynamic team. DBS checks apply and training is provided.

Salary includes enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, with overtime premiums and flexible benefits through Wagestream and discounts. A full UK driving licence is preferred and resilience and reflective practice are valued.

Qualifications

Male Support Worker – Headley Down -£13.25 up to £14.75 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: Day Shifts 7am- 7pm - Including weekends on a rota

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Headley Down is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, complex needs and challenging behaviours.
