Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to join our residential team in Musbury. You will assist residents with daily living, promote independence, and support community access, all within a caring, person-centered approach.

Typical shifts and enhanced hourly rates apply; overtime, evening and weekend enhancements are available along with benefits such as Blue Light Card and health-related support. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Genuinely caring, hands-on attitude and a passion for improving quality of life.
• Ideally hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Help people gain more independence and participate in local community activities.
• Support with outings and social and recreational activities in Axminster.
• Work as part of a team to deliver a safe, respectful and person-centered service.

Full-time or Part-time Female Support Worker – Musbury --£13.56 up to £15.06ph with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 8:00am - 2:00pm & 2:00am-8:30pm

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Axminster is a traditional farmhouse, ten minutes away from the Jurassic coast. It has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support shopping, sailing, swimming, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films, arts and crafts or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should ideally hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
