Job summary

Mencap in Havant is hiring Support Workers to provide compassionate, person-centred care for people with learning disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, offer emotional support and help build meaningful relationships in a diverse, inclusive team.

Roles include both Full-Time and Relief opportunities, with non-regular sleep-in payments and non-sponsor restrictions. The environment emphasizes training, development and belonging for all colleagues in a supportive setting.

Job description

We are looking for a positive, compassionate and caring Full-Time Support Worker and a Relief Support Worker to join our incredible team in Havant.

As a Full-Time Support Worker or a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for:

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract Options

• Relief (casual)
• Full-Time: 37.5hrs

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

There is also a non-contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat-rate payment of £64.20.
