Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited currently seeks experienced Care Assistants for a care unit in the United Kingdom. You will support elderly residents with Parkinson’s and dementia care needs, with dementia care experience considered advantageous but not essential.

With Christmas looming are you looking for some extra money?

This lovely Care Unit is looking for experienced Care Assistants to work alongside the established Care staff. They are looking for enthusiastic Care Workers that enjoy supporting elderly people with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care Needs. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

• Attend to client’s health needs and requirements in a calm, reassuring manner ensuring their dignity is respected at all times.
• You are expected to perform general housekeeping duties such as laundry..
• Observing the resident’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
• Comply with the homes health and safety policy at all times in a professional manner.

For this role, you must have;

• A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for one upfront.
• Relevant mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with the certificates to prove this dated within the past 9 months are essential or we can assist you to access online training platforms so you can gain the relevant training.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
• The willingness to make a difference.

Shift times are:

Nights - 2000 to 0800

Other shifts are available on request.

Rates of pay are £13.725 per hour and you will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year for time served.
